Purpose

The ICANN IDNWiki is a tool intended to facilitate public participation in ICANN's evaluation of eleven new internationalized top-level domain labels. Anyone can participate by testing the IDN functionality and posting reports about the experience on the IDNWiki discussion pages. You agree that any information you contribute may be used and published indefinitely on this site without any payment to you or further permission from you.

No formal peer review

The content of any given article may recently have been changed, vandalized or altered by someone whose opinion does not correspond with the state of knowledge in relevant fields, and that article may not have been reviewed prior to your accessing it by people with the expertise required to ensure that it is complete, accurate or reliable. The volunteer moderators of the IDNwiki will monitor the material posted here and attempt to remove inaccurate or off-topic material, and other users may provide similar support. Nonetheless, all information on the IDNWiki is offered without any warranty. Please do not rely on any information on this site without consulting independent professional advice. Pages are subject to being vandalized. Neither ICANN nor the moderators are responsible for any inaccurate or libelous content on these pages.

No contract

The information here is being provided freely, and no kind of agreement or contract is created between you and the owners or users of this site, the owners of the servers upon which it is housed, the individual contributors, any project administrators, system operators or anyone else who is in any way connected with this project. No use of anything on this site creates or implies any contractual or extracontractual liability on the part of ICANN or any of its agents.

There is no agreement or understanding between you and ICANN regarding your use or modification of the information provided here; neither is anyone at ICANN responsible should someone change, edit, modify or remove any information that you may post on the IDNwiki.

Any trademarks, service marks, collective marks, design rights, personality rights or similar rights that are mentioned, used or cited in IDNwiki articles are the property of their respective owners. Their use here does not imply that you may use them for any other purpose other than for the same or a similar informational use as contemplated by the original authors of these IDNwiki articles. Unless otherwise stated ICANN is neither endorsed by nor affiliated with any of the holders of any such rights and as such, cannot grant any rights to use any otherwise protected materials. Your use of any such or similar incorporeal property is at your own risk.

Jurisdiction and legality of content

The IDNwiki database is stored on a server in the State of California in the United States of America, and is maintained in reference to the protections afforded under local and federal law. Laws in your country or jurisdiction may not protect or allow the same kinds of speech or distribution. ICANN cannot be responsible for any violations of such laws, should you link to the IDNwiki or any of the evaluation top-level domains with which it is associated, or use, reproduce, or republish the information contained herein.

Time limitations

The example.test strings are only intended for a limited period of evaluation and will be removed unconditionally and permanently from the Domain Name System at the end of that time. They can therefore not be embedded in any systems that are intended to remain operational beyond then.
