I think that a revision of this page is necessary. IDNA2008 was approved by the IESG on Jan 7, 2010. As you know it represents major differences with the IDNA and IDNA2003 very fundamental concepts, that do not affect DNs only, but also IRI and other protocols relying on a stringprep. IAB is also currently proceeding even further through its own RFC on IDNs and the appeal they are to address.

  • This may affect in a limited way the existing Registry propositions, however users should be told to watch the comments produced by their Registry.
  • It may also affect the user's experience of the Internet and open new opportunities. This should be at least be briefly introduced.
